Blackdog Proofs Done; New Website Launched

I’ve just finished with the proof corrections for Blackdog, another important milestone on the way to the book. During this process, I was able to calculate that it takes me more or less one album of music to read fifty pages of proof, which is a useful timing system. That pretty much finishes my involvement with the book as manuscript. It is now Done. No last minute thoughts. On to new projects. They say that it’s a little ahead of schedule, actually, so there’s a good chance it will be out earlier in September.

My new website is up and running, too. This one is for my writing for adults, but if you go to the “other books” section, there are links off to everything on my original site, which is still alive and well. It seemed a good idea to have a different look for the two sides of my writing. Take a look! It shows off the magnificent cover by Raymond Swanland really well. (All praise to the webmaster, may his mouse-hand never grow stiff.)

On the new site, aside from the Blackdog cover, there is a version of the back-cover text, some links to places you can pre-order the book or all the information you need to take into your local bookstore to do so, a new bio, and a new author photo with Mr Wicked looking rather dignified. More content will be added gradually, perhaps a version of the map for ‘The Storyteller’ (there’s a great map in Blackdog by Rhys Davies, much more elegant than my own), and perhaps a bit about the cosmology, a bit of background on gods, Great Gods, demons, and devils, which is actually something being written as an appendix for The Storytelller: Sword of Ice and Shadows, the OEL manga Connie and I are working on. (For more about that project, you have to go to the mangasaga blog.)
